Adhesive paste

Granol’therm DK
Dispersion adhesive
Field of Application
Granol'therm DK dispersion adhesive is used to glue thermal insulation panels on flat, weakly absorbing bases like OSB panels, cement-bound wood chipboard panels.
Composition
Ready to use water-based pasty artificial resin adhesive for weakly absorbing bases.
Characteristics
Granol'therm DK is a ready to use, cement-free, organically bound mass for thin layer adhesion. The glue offers good adhesion on suitable, appropriately prepared bases.
Preparation substrate
The bases must be flat, clean, dry, load-bearing and free of separating substances.  Loose paints must be removed and surfaces must be pre-treated correspondingly. Granol'therm DK cannot be used on moist bases. Highly absorbent bases are to be primed with a suitable primer e.g. Poroprim. When in doubt concerning the suitability of bases, please ask our technical applications advisory service.
Application
Granol'therm DK is ready for use immediately after stirring. Adding a small quantity of water to produce an optimum processing consistency is possible. Apply the glue with a toothed trowel (4 x 4 mm) over the entire surface of the thermal panel and then glue this from below upwards to produce a union. Always ensure that no glue ends up on the panel joints. Spread the glue on the basis when gluing to wood panels. Do not create overly large adhesion surfaces, as the mass of glue dries quickly depending on the temperature or air movement. In principle, the thermal panels are to be placed in a bed of glue that is still wet. Drying occurs purely physically through evaporation and therefore depends on the temperature and humidity. Subsequent work procedures can take place after 1 - 2 days. High humidity and low temperatures delay drying with the result that longer drying occurs in individual cases.
Remarks
It must be ensured that the glue is protected against air and base temperatures of below + 5 °C until it has dried fully. Do not process under the direct effect of sunlight or temperatures higher than 30°C. Dried material can only be removed mechanically.
Disposal
Only hand in residue-free container for recycling. Dried material residues
can be disposed of as hardened paints or as domestic waste, while liquid material
residues can be disposed of as water-based paints. Waste code EAK 080112.
