Composition
Granol Flex is a dispersion based on acrylic copolymer resin, water-based, pigments, additives and inert loads.
Characteristics
Granol Flex is a thick decorative plastic covering in an aqueous phase for a trowelled-scraped or projected finish, for use outdoors. Granol Flex is a flexible facade covering that offers excellent resistance to cracking, regardless of variations in temperature. Granol Flex is available in 48 standard colours (see colour chart). Any other colour is available by request.
Preparation substrate
Substrates should be sound, clean, dust-free and dry. For priming work, use the Cantiplus STG or Canti'plus STF underlayer. The hue will be suitable for the hue of the Granol Flex. While the RPE is applied and during its drying phase, the ambient temperature and the surface temperature must not be below 10° C or above 30° C. Granol Flex should not be applied in the following conditions:
- on horizontal surfaces or surfaces inclining at least 45° exposed to rain.
- in case of rain or fog.
- on damp and sweaty surfaces.
- on frozen or thawing surfaces
Application
Apply using a trowel with a stainless steel trowel to the thickness of the largest grain or by using a sprayer. For a trowel-scraped finish: Move the stainless steel trowel or corrugated plastic trowel forward in a flat position without pressing down, using a circular movement. Clean the trowel frequently using a coating knife; never moisten. For a rough spray finish: machine spraying.

Remarks
Non-toxic product in accordance with 91/155/EWG. The drying of aqueous phase coatings is a physical process of evaporation whose kinetics depends on the temperature, the levels of hygrometry and the replacement of air. Drying becomes very slow when relative hygrometry exceeds 70 %. When these levels are around 100 %, drying stops altogether. Conversely, water evaporation is very quick and drying is accelerated by severe heat and strong wind. Application must be carried out in compliance with standard NF P 74-002 Ref: DTU 59.2 “Thick plastic overlays on concrete in coatings with a hydraulic binder base.”
Classification
Type 3.2 in accordance with NF T 30 -700. Family II, class 2b according to NF T 36 - 005. Compliant with EN 998.3.
Preparation mixture
Homogenise using a spatula to provide the material with its plasticity (no mixer)

Granol KR
Acrylic topcoat render
Field of Application
Granol KR is used as a decorative façade render with scraped render finish on all Granol'therm EWI systems.
It can also be used as a finishing render on all mineral surfaces, interior and exterior.
Composition
Granol KR is a dispersion based on acrylic copolymer resin, pigments, additives and inert loads.
Colours
White is the standard colour.
Granol KR is available in the colours of our colour chart. Special colour tones can be made on request. It is not possible to use colour tones with brightness references below 20%.

Colour tone differences on the processed surface to the corresponding trials and treatments cannot be avoided because of the natural raw material choices and weather influenced drying processes. In the event of subsequent deliveries the remaining part of the material must be mixed with the new material on a continuity basis, to guarantee the same colour.

Characteristics
Granol KR is a ready to use organic render for a scraped render finish.
Preparation substrate
Substrates must be flat, load bearing, clean and dry. mortar remains, loose parts, soiling, residues of noise-insulating materials as well as worn parts must be removed.
First coat of the prepared surfaces with Granol'plus STG, in the colour tone of the respective decorative render.
With dubious substrates please ask for our consulting services.
Application
The render is ready for application and can be adjusted to trowel use, depending on substrate and weather conditions, by adding max. 2 % water

For the application you should use a stainless steel burnishing tool or corresponding spray equipment in grain size, after which you rub evenly with a synthetic burnishing tool or wooden mortar board.

The KR can also be processed with all current render machines, according to the instructions of the manufacturers.

To prevent accretion the workers must apply the connected surfaces „wet in wet“ onto each other on the supporting framework. On larger surfaces it is advisable to render through till there is an interruption (cleaning belts, joints, outlet pipes etc.).

The fresh renders must be protected against torrential rain and too fast drying. Especially with direct sun and wind influences suitable measures must be taken, such as e.g. covering the façade or the supporting framework. Do not process with substrate and / or environmental temperatures below + 10° C or above 30° C.
The drying process of water-based organic renders is a physical process of evaporation and is influenced by the absorption of the substrate, the ambient temperature, the relative humidity of the air and ventilation. Drying becomes very slow if the relative humidity drops below 70%. When relative humidity comes close to 100%, drying stops. Vice versa the evaporation and curing process is accelerated by heat or strong wind.

Tools and equipment must be cleaned with water immediately after use . Surrounding building parts, such as windows, window-sills etc. must be properly covered.

Store in a cool and frost-free area. Protect against direct sunlight Can be stored in a closed container for at least 1 year. Opened containers must be processed within a short period of time.

Remarks
With new buildings it is necessary that prior to the start of the rendering activities the material must be tried to such an extend that irregularities in the colour toning due to excessive moist from the inside to the outside are prevented. Do not mix binders and additives.

As with all synthetic resin based renders a continuous moistening from the back must be prevented by proper sealing. (S. DIN 18195 - sealing of building against moist).

Disposal
Present only completely empty container for recycling. Dried material remnants can be disposed off as domestic waste, liquid material remnants can be disposed off as paint debris on water basis.

Granol RS KR
Organic facade render - scraped render finish - to be used in cold and humid conditions.
Field of Application
Granol RS KR is used as a finishing render with scraped render finish on Granol'therm EWI-systems or on other suited mineral or organic leveling mortars.
Granol RS KR is designed to be used in cold and humid conditions.
Composition
Mixture based on acrylic resins, calciumcarbonate, additives.
Colours
White is the standard colour.
Granol RS KR is available in the 185 colours of our colour chart for organic renders. Special colours can be made on request. It is not possible to use colours with brightness references below 20 on Granol'therm EWI systems.

Colour differences cannot be fully avoided due to colour differences in the natural raw materials and weather influenced drying processes. In the event of subsequent deliveries the remaining part of the material must be mixed with the new material on a continuity basis, to guarantee the same colour.
Application
The render is ready for application and can be adjusted to trowel use, depending on substrate and weather conditions, by adding max. 2 % water

For the application you should use a stainless steel rendering trowel/float or corresponding spray equipment in grain size, after which the surface is finished to the desired texture, using a PVC or stainless steel trowel or float.
The KR can also be sprayed with all current render machines, according to the instructions of the manufacturers.

To prevent accretion the workers must finish the connected surfaces „wet on wet“ onto each other on the supporting framework.

Do not process with substrate and / or environmental temperatures below 1°C OR above + 10° C. The relative humidity level may not be higher than 95%.

Tools and equipment must be cleaned with water immediately after use . Surrounding building parts, such as windows, window-sills etc. must be properly covered.
