Smoothing plasters

For a perfect result, interior and exterior walls should be levelled out and restored.

Ragrecim 2-7
Surfacing mortar for inside and outside
Field of Application
Ragrecim is applied inside and out on all conventional surfaces.
Heavy granulate banked concrete.
Concrete full of expanded clay or expanded schist.
Raw masonry of brick, or terracotta, solid or hollow, heavy or light granulate blocks.
Ragrecim must not be used on plaster, wood, particle board, metal, paint or plastics materials.
Not to be used on weak support surfaces.
Rapid hardening allowing the application of a finish coat (unsaponifiable paint or organic decorative coating) 24 to 48 hours after application depending on climatic conditions and 72 hours for glued ceramic coverings.
Characteristics
Ragrecim is a powder surfacing medium, ready to mix, based on cement, for surfacing and preparing internal and external walls before the application of the finishing coating. Ragrecim hardens quickly.
Preparation substrate
The support surface should be sound, clean, dust free, not sweating, free of any trace of oil from the removal of the form, of paint or dust, and protrusions should be planed down.
Support surfaces should be dampened to remove screenings the day before application by spraying and dry on the surface before application.
When laying the surfacing, and during the hardening stage, the ambient temperature, as well as that of the support base, should be neither lower than 5°C nor higher than 30°C.
Ragrecim should not be applied to a wall that is frozen, thawing or likely to freeze in the hours following application.

Application
Apply Ragrecim by hand or by spraying in one or two applications, preferably consecutive, depending on the type and smoothness of the surface.
Ragrecim 2.7: Field of application: 2 to 7 mm.
Protect freshly applied surface from heavy rain, drying winds and strong sunlight.
In dry, hot or windy weather, dampen the surface by steaming in order to prevent dessication.
Working in draughts is highly inadvisable. Finish:
As a finish, Regrecim can take:
. Organic decorative coverings
. Wall paint
. Ceramic coverings glued by means of mortar glue or cement-free adhesive
Consumption
± 1.5 kg /m_ per mm thick.
Technical data
Packaging
Ragrecim is packed in 25 kg bags on 1,200 kg shrink-wrapped Euro pallets
6-month shelf life in the original packing and protected from moisture.
Remarks
Work carried out using our surfacing mediums should comply with the rules of the art concerning surfaces finishes using thick mortar based on hydraulic binders.
They must also comply with the CSTC Technical Information Notes.
Preparation mixture
Add about 5 litres of water for 25 kg of Ragrecim.
Machine mixing is best to obtain a homogenous paste.
