Primers

Everything begins with a strong base! This is necessary to ensure the adhesive power of the plaster.

Betoprim
Betoprim is a ready to use primer.
Field of Application
Betoprim is used as a primer to ensure the bonding of plasters and renders on smooth substrates or substrates with a low porosity. The addition of quartz sands ensures an extra mechanical bond to the substrate.
Composition
Betoprim is a polymer based watery substance with added quartz sand.
Preparation substrate
The substrate must be dry and free of dust, grease, mold release agents, loose mortar, laitance, and efflorescence. Betoprim can only be applied at temperatures of +5°C to +30°C.
Application
Betoprim is applied with a brush a roller or by spraying. It is advised to stir the mixture before application and from time to time to ensure its homogeneity.
Plaster/render can be applied after the primer has dried. Tools can be rinsed with water.

Fixprim
Additive resin
Field of Application
As an adhesion bridge for hydraulic coatings and concretes or plasters. For improved adhesion to the bases As a gripping bridge for coating and finishing work on smooth bases. As an additive resin to improve mechanical performances (adhesion, cohesion), handling ability and impermeability of mortars.
Composition
Fixprim is an aqueous dispersion based on copolymer resin.
Characteristics
Fixprim is a gripping primary product, ready for use for coatings. Fixprim is also an additive resin in mortars.
Preparation substrate
The bases are clean and healthy.
The poor adhesion zones will be removed or possibly repaired.
The work will only be performed at ambient temperature or a base temperature of between 5°C and 30°C.

Application
As a bonding primer: Fixprim is applied by roller, brush or spray as a uniform layer.
The coating is applied on dry or still damp Fixprim.
Tools are cleaned with water.
Consumption
As a bonding primer: 100 g/m².
As an additive resin: 1 volume of Fixprim for 3 volumes of water.

Poroprim
Water based primer
Field of Application
Poroprim is a universal primer for internal and external use. This odourless primer is ideal for application in poorly ventilated rooms. Poroprim is used on substrates with high porosity such as concrete, aircrete, brick masonry, sand-limestone, cement based substrates, stucco and plasterboards. Never use Betoprim as an additive in renders.
Preparation substrate
Substrate should be stable, load bearing, free of oil, grease or dust. If necessary remove loose parts with a brush. Anhydrite screeds should be sanded and dust needs to be removed. Their moisture content should not exceed 0,3%. These screeds should be dried out for at least 28 days before application. Should not be applied below 5°C.
Application
For normal porous substrates, apply a non-diluted layer of Poroprim. For strong porous substrates apply 2 layers, till saturation, with diluted Poroprim. (maximum 1 part of Poroprim for 2 parts of water)
The substrate should not shine after application. Poroprim should be applied with conventional tools, brush, roller or spray-gun. For porous substrates, avoid film-forming in order to avoid saturation on the surface.
Poroprim must be dry before applying the coating.
Clean tools with water immidiately after use.
Consumption
0,1 to 0,3 kg/m² depending on the porosity of the substrate. Test to determine the actual use on the substrate.
