Coloured adhesive mortars

Murocol H is used as an adhesive mortar for all types of facing bricks and stones with a thin joint (3 to 6 mm) for new constructions as for renovation, outsite and insite.
Murocol H is intended for:
- normal absorbent bricks and masonry units (initial water absorption rate class IW3: 1.5 to 4 kg/(m².min)),
- high absorbent bricks and masonry units (initial water absorption rate class IW4: > 4 kg/(m².min)).

This recommendation is only indicative. In case of doubt, further tests may be necessary.

Murocol H is a homogeneous mixture composed of calibrated sand, binding agents and additives enhancing its characteristics.
- Binding agents: white Portland cement CEM I 52,5 R SR 5 (PM ES / HSR), sulfate resistant, according to EN 197-1.
- Granulates: sieved and recomposed sand 0/2 mm according to EN 13139.
- Additives: specific additives to enhance the mortar’s workability, water retention and adhesion.

Murocol H is available in 28 standard colors.
Other colors are available on request.
The shade of the joint after drying may vary slightly depending on:
- the amount of mixing water,
- applying conditions,
- atmospheric conditions during application and drying,
- the bricks used and their initial water absorption rate (class IW).

We recommend to carry out a trial application before ordering.
 

Murocol H is a dry, ready-to-use mortar for facing bricks (ordinary bricks, concrete stones) with a joint of 3 tot 6 mm (type T according to EN 998-2). Murocol is available in 3 types, according to the porosity of the bricks: Murocol N for very low absorbent bricks, Murocol S for low absorbent bricks and H for normal and high absorbent bricks.

The bricks and masonry units must be dust-free.
When laying the bricks, they must not be saturated with water.
Bricks and masonry units that are too dry must be pre-moistened.
When applying the adhesive mortar, the ambient temperature must not be below +5 °C and not exceed +30 °C.
Never work on a frozen or thawing substrate or in the event of risk of frost within 24 hours.
 

The adhesive mortar can be applied manually or mechanically.
Murocol H is preferably applied with a suitable mortar bag or pump/gun.
The adhesive on the vertical joints must be applied prior to laying the bricks in the horizontal mortar bed.
Once the mortar has been applied, the bricks must be placed within 15 minutes.
The rapid stiffening of the adhesive allows for an extended height of the brickwork.

Yield:
± 675 L of mix mortar per ton of dry mortar.

Murocol H is packed in hybride bags of 25 kg and stacked on euro pallets (1200 kg per pallet) with a protective cover.
Shelf life in original, undamaged, closed packaging, stored in a dry place away from moisture, is 12 months.

 

Murocol H is a high-performance colored adhesive mortar with compressive strength class M 15 according to EN 998-2.
CE certificate: 0965-CPR-MM 505.

Mix Murocol H with clear water (approx. 3.9 L of water per bag of 25 kg). The mortar must be mixed mechanically (minimum of 3 minutes at 500 t/min.). The mortar must be homogeneous, smooth and free of lumps. Once the adhesive mortar has started to set, do not remix it and do not add water.
The fresh mortar can be applied for a period of 4 hours.
